BR 1-14: Penguins

I read Penguins today. I like penguins, so I chose this book. Do you like penguins? I like their waddle because it's cute! There are a lot of things I don't know. So, I want you to review something I am interested in.

There are many kind of penguins. Some penguins live in Antarctica but African penguins live on beaches in South Africa. I had thought penguins live in the cold place. Emperor penguins don't make nests. They have to keep eggs warm using their bodies. What I was surprised a father emperor penguins keep eggs instead of a mother emperor penguins! A flap on his tummy keeps the egg warm while the mother leaves to find food. If there are icy storms, the father penguins huddle in a group to stay warm.

Next, I was interested in penguin talk. Penguins use their bodies to tell each other different things. Gentoo penguins make honking noises to call to each other. There are other interesting things. When two penguins bow and flap their wings it shows that they are a pair. Also, if a penguin is pointing its beak it wants another penguin to go away.

Finally, I knew penguins playing. For example, some penguins ride on a wave as if they are surfing. This is the quickest way for them to get back to the land. I knew it for the first time, so I'd like to see it someday!

It was interesting because I could know a lot of things about penguins. I think I want to know about other animals.

Vacation plans

In this summer vacation I have a lot of things I want to do. The biggest event is to travel in Tokyo with my friends. I'm going to stay for four days. One of my friend lives in Tokyo, so I'll stay at her house. I'm happy because it doesn't cost! I can meet my friends after a long time, so I want to talk a lot. I don't have plans where to go but I have places I want to go. For example, I want to go Tokyo Disneyland go shopping. Also, I'm going to study English harder and I want to do a volunteer activity. During summer vacation I am busy with part time job. I have to work almost all day but I'll do my best.

Report

Today is Sunday, but I went to school to write a report. When I went to the library, I met my friend, Sayaka! She was writing a report too. I have one report now, but she has three reports now, so I thought it was hard. My report is about Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Do you know it? It is Mark Twain's masterpiece. The hero is Huck and he is unusual children, so this story is very interesting. Also, I can think about a problem of a black. I hadn't finished the report yet, so I'll do my best.

Tonight, I walked and jogged with my mother. We went to a park near my house. I often go there with my family and I like running. The moment I got there, it rained. So, I took shelter from the rain with a cat. There was a cute cat there! After that, I jogged and I could feel refreshed.

Yesterday was my father's birthday! So, we had roll cake and doughnuts. It was very delicious and I was satisfied. Happy birthday to my father!

Movie

Yesterday, I had three classes. After that, I went to crystal mall Hamasen with my sister. I watched a movie and went a shopping. I enjoyed watching movie and I didn't buy anything but I had a good time.

Today, In class of the Korean language, I watched a Korean movie. This movie is about a woman, Kanna. She has a wonderful voice but she was said ugly woman by everyone. She couldn't endure and wanted to be beautiful, so she decided to have plastic surgery. In Korea, many people have plastic surgery. I think it is a part of culture. This movie was interesting! Also, there is a version of Japan. I had also watched it and it is interesting. My friend appears this movie, so please watch it!

Photography

Last Sunday, I took a picture of a coming-of-age celebration wearing a long-sleeved kimono. I put on makeup and put up my hair. When I wore the kimono, I felt the strain. I pose for a picture by directing of photographer, but it was difficult. The photographer taught me a lot of things, so I learned many things I didn't know. I like kimono very much, so I had a very good time.

About blogging

It is difficult for me to write a blog in English. I can't write what I want to say well, so writing a blog is hard. But I think I gradually got used to write a blog recently and it is a little fun. I often read my friend's blog and they write a blog very well, so I can know how they spend everyday. I enjoy reading their blog and I also enjoy writing a blog. I usually write about book, daily happenings and myself. I want to be good at writing a blog!

BR 1-13: The Scaredy Cat

I read The SCAREDY Cat. I didn't look like the scaredy cat when I saw this cat for the first time. The reason this cat is so big.

There was once a cat who lived in a big town. His name was Stanley. But everyone called him Scaredy Cat because he was scared of everything. He was scared of planes, boys, heights, frog, and dogs. Stanley was the biggest scaredy cat in town. One night, Stanley went for a walk with his friends, Tabby and Snowy. They found a mouse, but Stanley was even scared the mouse. The mouse ran into a house, so they looked for the mouse. No one was there and it was too dark, so Stanley felt really scared. He saw a lump behind the curtains. "What's that?" he wondered and he thought it a monster. The monster came closer. He was frozen to the spot with fear. Finally, he caught it, but it wasn't a monster. He caught a burglar!! So, for the first time in his life, Stanley felt brave. From then on, Stanley wasn't afraid of anything and no one called him a scaredy cat ever again.

I like cat, but I am occasionally afraid of cat, especially at night. I think cat is mysterious animal. Stanley is rare cat because he doesn't like a mouse. In this way, I think there is much kind of cats, so this story is interesting!

June 19th

I've been busy all this week because I had to study to pass the secretary examination. I finished the secretary examination today, so I'm happy. It was difficult but it was very useful for me. I wish I could pass it!

Also, today is busy because I have a part time job about 6 hours. The junior high school students finished semester test a few days ago. So, the result worries me and I wish it was good result.

Today, there are Japan versus Holland soccer game. So, I'm looking forward to watching, but I can't watch because of part time job. I like watching soccer game very much, so I am sad. I wish Japan won the game :)!!

Quickpost about voice recording: experience/outcomes

Few weeks ago, I recorded my voice to my host family. I was so embarrassed because I recorded my voice for the first time. I took mistakes many times, so I challenged many times. When I heard my voice first, I felt strange because I hardly hear my voice. I thought my voice was shy and low. I want to speak English fluently and in loud voice next!

Shopping♪

Today, I went to an outlet in Tosu. Tosu is in Saga prefecture, but it wasn't as far as I thought. It took about an hour in superhighway. Tosu is famous for outlet. I went there for the first time. Have you ever been there? There were many people and many kind of store. I bought clothes and it is much cheap. I can buy clothes for half price, so I was satisfied. I want to go again!

About my keitai

I like my keitai very much. The color is pink because I like pink. The phone company I use is au because it's cheap and easy to use. Also, the design is cute. Of course, I call and send e-mail by using my keitai. There are many functions, so I can take a picture, use the Internet and listen to music. I sometimes take a picture to publish in my blog. Also, I use the Internet to collect information. In this way, it's very useful to use keitai, so I think I use my keitai carefully.

Mexican Food

Yesterday, there was a class of English conversation in the fifth period. Yesterday's topic was food, so the teacher, Mr. Warren made burrito for us. Do you know burrito? I had it for the first time. He likes Mexican food very much and his favorite Mexican food is burrito. He is kind enough to cook! Burrito is a food that the ingredients such as a bean, cheese, rice and tomato puree is wrapped in tortilla. Tortilla is whole wheat. The topping is avocado and I've never had it, but it is delicious. Also, burrito which Mr. Warren made was delicious! There are many kind of burrito, so I want to eat other burrito. All of the class liked it very much. The size was so big for me, so I was full. I thought I can learn culture by food. I had a very good time!!

BR 1-12: The Incredible Present

I read The Incredible Present. When I saw this picture, I thought this story was about witch. But it was different and it was interesting story.

Lily Mark lived in a tall, old house with her parents and her granny. But most of the time it was just Lily and Granny. Lily’s parents weren’t like other parents. They always had some crazy project underway. They had bought a balloon, packed their things and set off. Lily’s birthday was tomorrow, so she decided to stop thinking about her parents instead. She wanted an amazing present such as a giraffe and telescope. She was given three presents by her friends, but it was not an amazing present. Then she saw one last present from her parents. Her parents always found incredible presents. She opened her last present. Inside was a small bag with a label on it. The label said, “The Anything Bag. Ask for anything you want, reach inside and there it will be!” She asked for many things, for example, a bed making robot and a space buggy. But it wasn’t things she wanted. The most interesting thing I think is that she turned spinach into chocolate ice cream because she doesn’t like spinach. But not just on the spinach. Every single green thing had become chocolate ice cream!

I thought this family was very interesting. Also, the presents Lily asked for was so interesting. She is a girl who has an interesting idea. I want to The Anything Bag too!!

Using the computer

It is difficult for me to use the computer because I'm not a person with computer skills. I'm not good at typing before, but I could type faster now because I practiced typing hard. But, in writing class, we always use the computer so, it's hard for me. However, I know that using computer is very important skills in the society. So, I think I have to study about computer. I'm also taking class of information disposal practice. There are many things I don't know, but I can study many things, so I'll do my best. However, the computer is useful because I can do a lot of things, for example, I sometimes enjoy listening music.

June 7th☆

Yesterday, I had three classes and the fifth period is speaking class. I announced about our topic four times. The member of my group is Yuki, Maiko and me. They can speak English fluently, but I can't speak English fluently. However, I did my best. We practiced very hard so, we could announce well. Other group's announcement was so wonderful! There were a lot of topic, for example, lunch time, part time job and car. Their poster was so unique and the announcement was interesting. I could learn a lot of things in this class.

After that, I took a lecture about secretary about two hours. So, I was tired, but I could live a full life today.

Sunday♪

Yesterday, I had a part time job, so I was tired. I got up late today. I went to shopping to downtown with my mother afternoon. At first, I bought a contact lens because I have weak eyes. After that I bought sandals. Its color is white and it is so cute! I wanted to white sandals and it was cheap, so I was glad.

There is some homework to do today. I have to announce in speaking class tomorrow. I'm going to practice to speech. I'll do my best!

BR 1-11: The Wizard of Oz

I read The Wizard of Oz. I have known about the title, but I didn't know the details of this story. So, I thought I want to read this book.

Dorothy lived a lonely farm in Kansas. One day, as she and her little dog Toto played, suddenly the cyclone whirled the house into the sky. The house sailed through the sky for hours. She got to unknown place and she met a woman. Dorothy said to the woman, "I want to go home, please tell me the way to Kansas." "Maybe the Great Wizard can help", suggested the woman. She met a scarecrow, a tin man and a lion. They had each wishes, for example, the scarecrow wants to brain and the tin man wants to heart. So, they went on together. They visited the Great Wizard, but he was wicked person. The witch did something spiteful to Dorothy and she was so angry that she threw a pail of water over the witch. At once, the witch began to shrink! Then they met a wizard and his name is Oz. He is very kind , so he granted their wishes. He told them to visit the Good Witch Glinda. After that, the magic monkeys took them to Glinda. Glinda granted Dorothy's wish and finally she could go her house.

I was interested in Emerald City. Oz lived there and it is an enchanted land. The streets and houses were built of shining green marble and all the people wore green. Everything was green-even the sky and something sparkled. I want to go there and I want to see Oz! Also I surprised at the magic monkeys. They have wings and they can fly! This story was very interesting.

My favorite movies

My favorite movie is The Devil Wears Prada. This story is about a woman who aims for a journalist. A Heroin, Andrea was lucky to work at a fashion magazine company as an assistant, but it seemed like her superior is devil. Andrea endured her demand and she gradually became beautiful. Her fashion is very cute, so I liked it. I also like this movies music. This movie's actress, Anne Hathaway is very beautiful and she is my favorite actress. She also starred in Pretty Princess and I also like the movie because it is wonderful. This is Cinderella story and I has a longing for it.
